About the Team
The Marketplace Engineering team develops core platforms and services that enable third party sellers to list, sell, and manage products on walmart.com. The team manages the entire seller lifecycle while ensuring a high quality customer experience.
Engineers work on systems that monitor customer interactions and generate insights for sellers to manage pricing, assortment, and inventory. The team collaborates with partner platform groups to continuously improve the marketplace experience for both sellers and customers.
What You Will Do
You will work with a team of developers writing code to build and maintain large scale systems. These may include platforms such as one of the world's largest private customer databases, master data systems for items and supply chain, and mobile solutions that enhance associate experiences.
Projects may also involve security frameworks, cryptology suites, integration layers connecting suppliers and B2B partners, large scale distributed systems, service oriented architecture platforms, high performance and highly reliable systems, and large in memory databases.
What You Will Bring
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree, or an equivalent engineering program, with graduation expected in 2027.
- Combined aggregate score of 7 or above across all semesters.
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and object oriented programming.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as C, C++, or Java.
- Ability to analyze problems, interpret data and trends, and design effective technical solutions.
- Motivation to work in a fast paced environment with varied responsibilities.
