ATS check

Paste a job post. We compare it with the skills on your profile and show the keywords and resume changes that help you get past the company's applicant tracking system (ATS).

The job

Uses 1 check. Free checks go first, then any AI Pack checks.

What you get

  • An ATS match score out of 100: how much of the job's skill list you cover
  • Keywords to use, split into technical skills, soft skills, tools, industry terms and certifications
  • Changes to make, high priority first, plus formatting tips

Paste a job post on the left. Your past checks stay in your history.

How it works

  1. Step 1Paste the job post

Copy the description from the posting, with the title and company.

  2. Step 2Get your match

A score for how much of the job's skill list you cover, the keywords the post uses and the changes to make, most important first.

  3. Step 3Update your resume

Work the keywords you can back up into your resume, then apply.

What it costs

Nothing. You get 3 ATS checks every month, free, with no card and no subscription. The limit resets on the 1st. To have a person read your resume, there is Resume review.

Good practice

What gets a resume past the filter and in front of a recruiter.

Content

  • Use exact keywords: Include the technical skills and tools exactly as the job post names them.
  • Quantify results: Use numbers to show impact: users, percentages, time saved.
  • Match the requirements: Mirror the language of the job description where it is true for you.
  • List certifications: Put relevant certifications where they are easy to find.

Formatting

  • Standard fonts: Arial, Calibri or Times New Roman.
  • No graphics: ATS software cannot read images, logos or complex layouts.
  • Standard headings: Experience, Education, Skills, Projects.
  • Save as .docx: Most ATS software reads Word files more reliably than PDF.

Questions

What is an ATS and why does it matter?

An applicant tracking system is the software companies use to collect and screen resumes before a recruiter reads them. Recruiters search it by keyword, so a resume that does not use the words in the job post can be skipped.

How does the check work?

It reads the job description, picks out the keywords and skills an ATS looks for, and compares them with the skills on your profile. Then it lists the changes to make to your resume, most important first. It does not read your resume file, so keep your profile skills up to date.

Do I need to check every job I apply to?

Yes, if you can. Different companies look for different keywords, and each check is built from the job description you paste. Checking the same job again with the same skills shows your earlier result and does not use a check.

How many checks can I do?

3 a month, free. The count resets on the 1st. If you need more, the AI Pack adds 100 ATS checks and 100 cover letters for ₹49, valid for 6 months.
