About the Team

The Marketplace Data Science team focuses on experimenting with and researching AI solutions for the marketplace ecosystem. These systems aim to increase revenue while lowering operational costs through advanced analytics and intelligent automation.

Multiple AI-driven solutions are already deployed across marketplace functions. During the internship, you will explore new approaches, improve existing solutions, and evaluate the scientific impact of potential methods before integrating successful results into the team’s systems.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with developers to build and enhance large-scale technology systems.
• Contribute code to platforms supporting massive customer databases, item master data, and supply chain systems used across online and offline channels.
• Work on mobile applications that improve experiences for associates and internal users.
• Support development of security frameworks, cryptology systems, and integrations with suppliers and B2B partners.
• Participate in building distributed systems, service-oriented architectures, private cloud infrastructure, and high-performance scalable applications.
• Work with large in-memory databases and systems designed for reliability and performance at global scale.

What You'll Bring

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering with an expected graduation year of 2027.
• A cumulative academic score of 7 or above across semesters.
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as C, C++, or Java.
• Ability to analyze data, identify problems, and develop effective technical solutions in a fast-paced environment.
