About the Team
This role is part of the team responsible for Eightfold’s flagship Talent Acquisition (TA) product line. This product is widely used by global enterprise customers and represents a key revenue driver for the company.
The engineering team leads the development and continuous improvement of the platform, focusing on expanding capabilities, improving performance, and introducing advanced technologies such as Large Language Models and AI-driven features.
- Reduce time-to-hire for enterprise customers
- Enhance product capabilities through new features and improvements
- Integrate AI and LLM technologies into the platform architecture
- Develop new product lines when needed to strengthen the overall customer experience
What You Will Learn to Do
- Build scalable and configurable server-side applications with strong focus on performance, quality, and reusable design
- Design and implement new microservices or integrate applications with existing services
- Work with Generative AI and LLM technologies integrated into engineering workflows
- Develop secure and reliable data pipelines for large-scale enterprise data integration
- Create systems that support customization and configuration-driven functionality
- Improve automated unit testing and Selenium-based testing coverage
- Develop and enhance internal tools used for administration, monitoring, and system management
What We Look For
- Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals
- Hands-on exposure to backend development, typically within 1 to 3 years
- Understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture
- Experience using modern AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor or similar coding tools
- Exposure to building, launching, or maintaining SaaS products
- Ability to debug and troubleshoot issues in cloud environments or SaaS platforms
- Attention to user experience and interest in solving problems for large-scale user bases
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Technology Stack
The backend environment includes several technologies and tools commonly used across the engineering team.
- Python, Flask, TensorFlow, SQL, Bash, Ansible
- Apache Spark, Solr, MySQL, Docker
- AWS services including Aurora, S3, Redshift, CloudFormation, SNS, and SQS
- Distributed systems and microservices architecture
- Extensive use of AI and machine learning technologies
