UST is looking for a Validation Technician to join its semiconductor product validation work. Responsibilities

• Install and configure Microsoft operating systems.
• Understand platform ingredients for post-silicon validation.
• Apply basic knowledge of system BIOS, UEFI framework and architecture, USB, multimedia, drivers, camera, disk, desktop, power management, Type C and silicon technologies.
• Identify the test cases to run from the available set, and use benchmark, stress, stability and power management tools.
• Analyze system power states and device states, and work on test strategies.
• Work as per the client schedule, with flexible timing and work locations, and work with systems on racks when needed.
• Attend client meetings to understand requirements clearly.
• Reproduce failures reported in required platform configurations and manage defects.
• Understand Windows product features and execute test cases.
• Assemble and troubleshoot computer systems.
• Analyze and debug issues, and clearly articulate and isolate problems seen during test execution.
