The Opportunity

UST is looking for a Validation Technician to join its semiconductor product validation work.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure Microsoft operating systems.
• Understand platform ingredients for post-silicon validation.
• Build basic knowledge of system BIOS, UEFI framework and architecture, USB, multimedia, drivers, camera, disk, desktop, power management, Type-C and silicon technologies.
• Identify the test cases to be executed from the available set provided, and apply knowledge of benchmark tools, stress and stability testing, and power management.
• Analyze system power states and device states, and work on test strategies.
• Be ready to work according to the client schedule.
• Reproduce failures reported in required platform configurations and manage defects.
• Adapt to flexible timings and work locations.
• Attend client meetings to clearly understand requirements, and be ready to work with systems on racks.
• Understand various Windows product features and execute test cases.
• Apply strong problem-solving skills to analyze and debug issues.
• Communicate well and work with different teams.
• Assemble and troubleshoot computer systems.
• Understand, articulate and isolate issues observed during test execution.
