The Opportunity

UST is looking for a Validation Technician to join its semiconductor product validation work.

Responsibilities

• Learn, install, and configure Microsoft operating systems.
• Identify the test cases to execute from the available set provided.
• Build a basic understanding of platform hardware and software components for post-silicon and pre-silicon validation.
• Work with various benchmark tools, stress and stability tests, and power management. Reproduce failures reported in the required platform configurations and manage defects.
• Apply basic knowledge of system BIOS, UEFI framework and architecture, USB, multimedia, drivers, camera, disk, desktop, power management, Type-C, and silicon technologies.
• Analyze system power states and device states, and understand and analyze test strategies.
• Be ready to work to the client schedule, attend standup meetings, and understand requirements before testing. Work locations and timings are flexible, and you should be ready to work with systems on racks.
• Understand Windows product features and execute test cases. Apply strong problem-solving skills to analyze and debug issues.
• Communicate well and work effectively with different teams.
• Assemble computer systems.
• Understand, articulate, and isolate issues observed during test execution.
