The Opportunity

UST is looking for a Validation Technician to join its semiconductor product validation work.

Responsibilities

• Learn to install and configure Microsoft operating systems.
• Identify the test cases to execute from the set of available test cases.
• Hold a basic understanding of platform hardware and software components for post-silicon and pre-silicon validation, along with benchmark tools, stress and stability testing, and power management.
• Reproduce failures reported on required platform configurations and manage defects.
• Hold basic knowledge of system BIOS, UEFI framework and architecture, USB, multimedia, drivers, camera, disk, desktop, power management, Type C, and silicon technologies.
• Analyze system power states and device states, and understand and analyze test strategies.
• Be ready to work according to the client schedule.
• Learn to attend standup meetings and understand requirements before testing.
• Accept flexible work location and timing.
• Be ready to work with systems on racks.
• Understand the features of various Windows products and execute test cases.
• Apply strong problem-solving skills to analyze and debug issues.
• Communicate well and work effectively with different teams.
• Assemble computer systems.
• Understand, articulate, and isolate issues observed during test execution.
