Global Business Services
Global Business Services delivers Technology and Operations capabilities to Lines of Business and Staff Support Functions through a centrally managed, globally integrated delivery model and globally resilient operations. In India, we operate as BA Continuum India Private Limited (BACI), a non-banking subsidiary of Bank of America Corporation.
Role Overview
The Global Technology division manages the critical systems and platforms behind the company's retail, commercial and institutional businesses, along with key global support functions. Teams build technologies in areas such as mobile and online banking, payments processing, technology infrastructure, cyber-security, risk and capital management and enterprise data management.
You will use leading technology solutions and integrated platforms so that customers and clients can bank with us anytime, anywhere.
Skills Exposure
You may work with Hadoop, HDFS, Spark, Yarn, Hive, Sqoop, Impala, Hue, Python, SQL, Scala, Spark Streaming, Kafka, Shell Scripting, ETL, Quartz, Teradata, Datastage and Tableau.
Responsibilities
You will help ensure software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, with solutions designed for maintainability, ease of integration and testing from the outset. Key tasks may include:
- Gathering and translating internal and external client requirements into technical design specifications and business process re-engineering
- Coding solutions and unit tests, and making sure they integrate successfully into internal banking applications and systems through clear, robust and well-tested interfaces
- Taking part in CI/CD delivery and release events, including branching timelines, pull requests, issue triage, merge and conflict resolution and release notes
- Documenting models and findings, and supporting data collation and processing for development and delivery
- Performing proofs of concept to implement new ideas or mitigate risk
- Ensuring execution and delivery meet technology expectations for functionality, quality, performance, reliability and timelines
- Working with global development teams and business partners across APAC, EMEA and AMRS to translate business and functional requirements for banking, trading and markets
- Identifying, escalating and resolving incidents and issues
