The Opportunity

UST is looking for a Validation Technician to join the team.

Responsibilities

• Learn to install and configure Microsoft operating systems.
• Identify the test cases to execute from the available set provided.
• Basic understanding of platform HW/SW components for post-silicon and pre-silicon validation, plus knowledge of benchmark tools, stress and stability testing, and power management.
• Reproduce failures reported in required platform configurations and manage defects.
• Basic knowledge of system BIOS, UEFI framework and architecture, USB, multimedia, drivers, camera, disk, desktop, power management, Type C and silicon technologies.
• Analyze system power states and device states, and understand and analyze test strategies.
• Work as per the client schedule.
• Learn to attend standup meetings and understand requirements before testing.
• Flexible work location and timing.
• Work with systems on racks.
• Understand various Windows product features and execute test cases.
• Strong problem-solving skills: ability to analyze and debug issues.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to work with different teams.
• Ability to assemble a computer system.
• Ability to understand, articulate and isolate issues observed during test execution.
