The Opportunity
UST is looking for a Validation Technician, Tester I, for Semiconductor Product Validation.
Responsibilities
- Learn to install and configure Microsoft operating systems.
- Identify the test cases to execute from the available set.
- Understand platform hardware and software components for post-silicon and pre-silicon validation, including benchmark tools, stress and stability testing, and power management.
- Reproduce failures reported in required platform configurations and manage defects.
- Build basic knowledge of system BIOS, UEFI framework and architecture, USB, multimedia, drivers, camera, disk, desktop, power management, Type C, and silicon technologies.
- Analyze system power states and device states, and understand and analyze test strategies.
- Work to the client schedule and attend standup meetings to understand requirements before testing.
- Work with systems on racks and assemble computer systems.
- Understand various Windows product features and execute the related test cases.
- Analyze and debug issues, and clearly articulate and isolate problems seen during test execution.
- Communicate well and work effectively with different teams.
- Flexibility in work location and timing.
