Key Responsibilities

Job Purpose

You will provide engineering support to help develop industry-leading technology and catalysts. The role also covers supporting proposal and basic engineering work, assisting client training and commissioning, improving design methods, and investigating plant performance issues.

Principal Accountabilities and Scope

• Carry out process engineering design work following JM-Honeywell standards and procedures, to schedule and budget as advised by the Lead Engineer, Technology Manager or Project Manager.
• Develop detailed calculations, process engineering datasheets and drawings, and take responsibility for their accuracy.
• Keep up to date with the latest technical developments in your areas of expertise.
• Demonstrate, provide and develop suitable technical solutions for specific project issues.
• Support internal development and continuous improvement activities as required.
• Take a proactive approach to personal and professional development.
• Make sure JM-Honeywell health, safety, environmental and quality procedures are followed, with a high standard of safety in all related work.
• Identify department and business improvement opportunities that strengthen the departmental offering.
• Give clear, competitive technical advice to internal and external customers and suppliers, and seek consultation when needed.
• Build a broader technical and commercial understanding of JM-Honeywell technologies.
• Achieve and maintain chartered status with a recognised engineering body.

Person Specification

• A degree in Chemical Engineering (essential).
• A self-motivated, proactive person with strong drive and initiative (essential).
• A focus on customers and the ability to meet their needs while achieving project and corporate objectives (essential).
• Analytical, engineering and innovation skills to strengthen the existing offering and find opportunities for growth (essential).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (essential).
