Job Description
The Product Assurance Engineering Team is part of Seagate's Quality function, responsible for the verification and validation of products across Seagate’s HDD, SSD, and Systems portfolios. As part of a fast-paced, global team, our objective is to deliver the world’s most affordable solution for mass capacity environments. About the Role:
As an Intern in the System Test team, you will:
- Test Design & Execution: Understand the design details of the storage systems under test.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Development team to understand the product architecture and implementation.
- Test Case Development: Develop, automate, and execute test cases based on the test plan.
- Reporting: Generate test reports to track and communicate results.
- System Integration: Collaborate with development teams to ensure full integration of all parts of the system.
- Lab Support: Assist in maintaining the engineering laboratory and equipment.
- Internship Project: Complete an internship project as per the defined plan.
About You:
- Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
- Self-motivated with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new tools and technologies.
- Understanding of object storage systems and their integration.
- Ability to write test standards, procedures, and documentation.
- Familiarity with industry-standard software testing processes and practices.
Your Experience Includes:
- Programming skills in Python and C.
- Experience with Linux, Microsoft Windows, and VMware Cloud services.
- Basic understanding of networking principles.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of test methodologies and test automation.
