Job Summary

To support teams that build great products and contribute to our growth, we are looking to add an Analyst for General Ledger in Chennai.

What a typical day looks like

• Process journal transactions as per standard operating procedures and post rectification entries for errors identified by the supervisor.
• Extract reports from the ERP system and generate and update the Trial Balance, P&L and Balance Sheet reports.
• Perform reconciliation of sub-modules against the Trial Balance and work with finance functional teams on basic macros.
• Research, review, process and record cash and non-cash entries as per standard operating procedures.
• Prepare financial statements (Trial Balance, P&L and Balance Sheet) for corporate consolidation.
• Reconcile General Ledger balances against sub-modules and the Trial Balance for accuracy, working with the respective team to resolve differences.
• Verify and process shipping paperwork against orders to create customer invoices.
• Approve customer orders and upload them into the system, and prepare vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements and other records, reviewing them for accuracy.
• Assist in completing various unit audits.
• Work in a complex environment with strict project deadlines.
• Analyze data, identify automation opportunities and explore them with various IT teams using the department's tools and techniques.
