Job Summary

Flex is looking to add an Analyst for Procurement in Chennai to support teams that build great products and drive the company's growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Issue purchase orders to vendors on time, follow up on order confirmations and coordinate on-time payments to suppliers
• Coordinate with vendors on the actual delivery status of materials
• Complete the Open Purchase Order Report and Shortage Report on time for review
• Execute core procurement processes efficiently and accurately for assigned products
• Meet or exceed service levels and inventory targets for assigned products, as measured by procurement metrics
• Coordinate with internal business partners (requestors) and suppliers on purchase order changes
• Select suppliers for new orders in line with approved purchasing strategies
• Manage the supplier database
• Identify, recommend and implement operational efficiencies that drive continuous improvement in procurement processes
• Perform root cause analysis to speed up the resolution of service issues
• Prepare customized reports to analyze and improve processes
• Manage shortage and excess escalations, follow through on urgent receipts, past-due items and receiving challenges
