Job Summary

To support teams that build great products and contribute to our growth, Flex is looking to add an Analyst - General Ledger in Chennai.

What a Typical Day Looks Like

• Process journal transactions according to standard operating procedures.
• Post rectification entries for errors identified by the supervisor.
• Extract reports from the ERP system according to standard operating procedures.
• Generate and update the Trial Balance, P&L and Balance Sheet reports.
• Perform reconciliation of sub-modules against the Trial Balance.
• Work with finance functional teams to support them on basic macros.
• Work in a complex environment with strict project deadlines.
• Analyze data and identify automation opportunities. Research, review, process and record cash and non-cash entries according to standard operating procedures.
• Understand the ERP systems and extract reports as required.
• Prepare financial statements (Trial Balance, P&L and Balance Sheet) for corporate consolidation.
• Reconcile General Ledger balances against sub-modules and the Trial Balance, working with the respective teams to resolve differences.
• Verify and process shipping paperwork against orders to create customer invoices.
• Approve customer orders and upload them into the system, and prepare vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports and other records, reviewing them for accuracy.
• Assist with various unit audits.
• Explore automation opportunities using department tools and techniques, in coordination with the IT team.

What We're Looking For

• 0 to 2 years of experience with a Bachelor's in Commerce or BBA (Finance), or a Master's in Commerce or MBA (Finance).
• Basic working knowledge of MS applications.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles.
• Good written and oral communication skills in English.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems.
• Good analytical skills and a strong team player.
• Willingness to work in a complex environment with strict project deadlines.
