Purpose of the Role

The primary purpose of this role is to build and maintain strong relationships with clients. This involves understanding their needs, expectations, and financial goals to develop and propose appropriate investment banking solutions for them and their companies.

Accountabilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients by understanding their business, financial goals, and industry trends.
• Generate ideas and identify opportunities to expand the bank's client base and create new business opportunities.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis and due diligence on client companies to assess their financial health and valuation.
• Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to review, draft, and maintain legal documentation required for transactions, including contracts and agreements.
• Work with other teams such as Capital Markets, Sales and Trading, Research, and Risk Management to provide comprehensive solutions to clients.
• Champion Energy Transition and Sustainability by engaging with clients on their climate, transition strategies, and sustainable finance opportunities where applicable.

Join us as an Analyst - Investment Banking, where you will support the execution of advisory and financing transactions across products and sectors. You will perform financial valuation analysis, build and apply financial models, conduct industry research, prepare presentation and marketing materials, and participate in client meetings. You will also assist in covering clients and originating transactions, supporting the execution of transactions from start through to closing.

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong analytical mindset and the ability to work effectively across multiple aspects of financial advisory and transaction execution. You should also be able to apply financial analysis and research to support client coverage, transaction origination, and execution.

Essential Skills / Basic Qualifications:

• Knowledge of or experience in performing financial valuation analysis and building and applying financial models.
• Ability to conduct industry research and analyze relevant information.
• Ability to prepare presentation and marketing materials.
• Ability to support client coverage and transaction origination activities.
• Ability to support the execution of advisory and financing transactions across products and sectors.

Desirable Skills / Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience participating in client meetings.
• Experience or exposure to transaction execution from initiation through to closing.
