Job Description
The role provides financial expertise and analytical support to business units across the organisation. The analyst gathers, analyses and interprets financial data to support investment decisions, evaluate risks, and contribute to strategic planning initiatives.
Purpose of the Role
Support departments with financial insights by analysing financial information and preparing reports that guide planning, risk evaluation and investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess investment opportunities and potential risks through research on companies, industries and market trends.
- Prepare financial forecasts for both short term and long term planning.
- Monitor financial risks and provide regular reports to senior stakeholders and leadership teams.
- Collect, analyse and interpret financial data to produce reports, dashboards and presentations that communicate insights to stakeholders.
Analyst Expectations
- Complete assigned activities on time while maintaining high quality standards and contributing to process improvements.
- Develop strong technical knowledge within the assigned area of expertise.
- Maintain a clear understanding of key concepts, processes and principles relevant to the role.
- Collaborate with teams across functions and support coordination of resources and work requirements.
- Take ownership of operational outcomes and ensure processes are executed effectively.
- Escalate policy or procedural breaches appropriately and support the adoption of new risk mitigation processes.
- Provide insights and recommendations within the area of expertise to support informed decision making.
- Strengthen risk management and internal controls within areas of responsibility while ensuring compliance with regulations and company standards.
- Build understanding of organisational products, services and operational processes.
- Analyse information carefully and make well informed judgements based on available data.
- Resolve issues using established knowledge and previous precedents where applicable.
- Communicate complex information clearly and collaborate with stakeholders across teams.
- Develop professional networks inside and outside the organisation to support effective collaboration.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- CA Inter, MBA, Postgraduate with relevant experience, or a Graduate degree.
- Strong knowledge of accounting concepts, including financial statements and accounting principles.
- Exposure to financial close activities.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with automation or analytics tools such as Alteryx, Power BI or Power Apps is preferred.
Additional Preferred Skills
- Experience with data analysis techniques including trend and ratio analysis.
- Ability to work with large datasets and extract meaningful insights.
- Understanding of risk and control frameworks.
