As a Software Engineering Intern, you will work with a collaborative team building scalable software solutions that include AI and machine learning integrations. The internship provides exposure to real production systems while working alongside experienced engineers in Walmart's technology ecosystem.

About the Team: US Omni Tech
The US Omni Tech team gathers insights on customer needs and uses technology expertise to build product roadmaps that improve the overall Walmart shopping experience. The team focuses on technological excellence while maintaining cost efficiency to support Walmart’s Everyday Low Prices philosophy.
What You'll Do
You will work with a team of developers writing code and contributing to systems that support Walmart’s large scale technology infrastructure. These may include:
- Large customer data platforms and master data systems for items
- Supply chain systems supporting online and offline retail channels
- Mobile applications that improve associate productivity and user experience
- Security frameworks and cryptography platforms
- Integration layers connecting suppliers and B2B partners
- Large scale distributed systems and service-oriented architectures
- High performance, reliable, and scalable systems
- Massive in-memory databases and private cloud platforms
What You'll Bring
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or an equivalent field with expected graduation in 2027
- Minimum aggregate score of 7 or above across all semesters
- Strong understanding of core computer science concepts including data structures, algorithms, and object oriented programming
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as C, C++, or Java
- Ability to analyze problems, interpret data trends, and develop effective solutions
- Comfort working in a fast paced environment with multiple responsibilities
