About the Team
Building a strong technology foundation for infrastructure and platforms is essential at Walmart’s scale. The team develops and maintains core technologies that support the broader technology organization, including data platforms, enterprise architecture, DevOps, cloud computing, and infrastructure systems.
These services run on highly scalable infrastructure that supports secure and reliable experiences for employees and customers across stores, digital channels, and distribution centers.
What You Will Do
You will collaborate with a team of developers and contribute code to systems such as large customer data platforms, master data systems for items and supply chains supporting both online and offline channels, and mobile applications that improve associate experiences.
The work may also involve complex security frameworks and cryptography systems, integration layers connecting suppliers and B2B partners, large scale distributed systems, service oriented architectures, high performance platforms, and massive in‑memory databases running on one of the world’s largest private clouds.
What You Will Bring
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or a related field, expected to graduate in 2027.
- Minimum combined aggregate score of 7 or above across semesters.
- Strong understanding of core computer science concepts such as data structures, algorithms, object oriented programming, and software design.
- Working knowledge of at least one programming language such as C, C++, or Java.
- Ability to analyze problems, interpret data, and develop effective solutions while working in a fast paced engineering environment.
