About the Team

The Marketplace Engineering team builds core platforms and services that allow Walmart to offer a wide selection of products at competitive prices. The platform enables third party sellers to list, sell, and manage products on walmart.com.

The team manages the seller lifecycle, monitors customer experience, and provides insights that help sellers optimize assortment, pricing, and inventory. Engineers collaborate with partner platform teams to continuously improve the experience for both sellers and customers.

What You Will Do

You will work with a team of developers writing code to build large scale systems, including but not limited to platforms such as the world's largest private customer databases and master data systems for items and supply chain operations.

Projects may involve mobile development to improve associate experiences, complex security frameworks and cryptology systems, integration layers for suppliers and B2B partners, and infrastructure supporting one of the world's largest private clouds.

The work also includes service oriented architecture, distributed systems, high performance and reliable platforms, and large scale in memory databases supporting both online and offline retail channels.

What You Will Bring

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree, or an equivalent engineering program, with an expected graduation year of 2027.
• A combined aggregate score of 7 or higher across all semesters.
• Strong understanding of core computer science fundamentals such as data structures, algorithms, object oriented programming, and software design.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as C, C++, or Java.
• Ability to analyze data and trends, diagnose problems, and develop effective solutions while working in a fast paced engineering environment.
