About the Role
As a Graduate Apprentice Trainee, you will assist in developing customer-specific vehicle adaptations for commercial vehicles. The role involves working with cross-functional teams to translate customer requirements into practical, manufacturable, and compliant engineering solutions.
This opportunity is intended for recent graduates or early-career engineers who want exposure to Volvo’s engineering practices, design standards, and product development environment while contributing to customer-focused vehicle solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the team in understanding customer adaptation requirements.
- Assist with preparing and updating design drawings, layouts, and technical documentation.
- Apply engineering standards, design guidelines, and internal processes while working on assigned tasks.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Purchase, Logistics, Sales, and Quality teams.
- Help verify design feasibility and implementation requirements.
- Track design updates, engineering changes, and documentation.
- Participate in problem-solving activities and basic root cause analysis to support issue resolution.
- Contribute to team-level continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist in review meetings, follow-up activities, and project documentation.
