The National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) is a program where Volvo India engages freshly graduated individuals for year-long apprenticeships, providing practical training and skills development opportunities within the company's various functions under Financial Services. It's a way for Volvo to train future workforce members through a structured apprenticeship program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Day to day monitoring and recording of Quality issues and generating Quality alerts.
  • Quality Notification generation and working with Line QC to record the Quality Issues.
  • Sharing Weekly and Monthly Quality data to Manager.
  • Conducting Joint Quality review meetings with stakeholders.
  • Addressing the Quality issues of supplier parts in production line.
  • Support in judging the root cause of assembly issues in supplier parts and stock verification.
  • Follow up with supplier for correction, corrective action and preventive actions.
  • Follow up for getting RCA and 8D from suppliers.
  • Constant interaction with suppliers on improving the quality of parts delivered.
  • Reviewing the 8D, RCA reports from suppliers along with Concern QC, SQ lead and judging the effectiveness.
  • PPAP Parts inspection, ECN parts inspection at supplier end and Inhouse.
  • Verification of supplier reports and checking the part report against drawing requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Good communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Power-bi software hands on experience and knowledge is preferred.
  • Should be a quick learner, good team player and self-motivated.
  • Basics on usage of measuring tools and equipment.
  • Good engineering drawing reading skills.
  • Knowledge on fabrication, painting and other manufacturing processes is preferred.
  • Basic know-how on usage of SAP, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
