Job Description

Purpose of the role

Provide operational support for Trade and Working Capital activities by assisting with daily processing, review, reporting, trading tasks, and issue resolution.

Accountabilities

• Assist with day-to-day Trade and Working Capital activities including processing, reporting, reviewing transactions, and resolving operational issues.
• Monitor Trade and Working Capital operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with applicable regulatory and industry standards.
• Work with teams across the bank to align and integrate processes related to Trade and Working Capital services.
• Identify improvement opportunities and recommend changes to existing processes.
• Support the development and implementation of procedures and controls to reduce risk and maintain operational effectiveness.
• Create reports and presentations on Trade and Working Capital performance and share insights with internal stakeholders.
• Track industry trends and developments to support adoption of best practices in Trade and Working Capital services.
• Participate in initiatives and projects aimed at improving operational efficiency.

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end trade operations activities within Corporate Banking.
• Process trade finance transactions accurately and within defined service level timelines.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, banking regulations, and operational standards.
• Identify operational risks and support initiatives to strengthen controls.
• Coordinate with internal teams and clients to resolve transaction-related issues.
• Prepare operational reports and maintain accurate MIS reporting.
• Follow standard operating procedures and make decisions based on operational knowledge.
• Provide reliable client servicing and operational assistance.

Desirable Skills

• Exposure to trade finance products such as Bank Guarantees, Bonds, Guarantees and Indemnities, Collections, or Trade Loans.
• Understanding of trade finance operations and associated controls.
• Experience working with reporting systems and MIS tools.
• Ability to evaluate operational data and identify issues.
