Software Engineer Intern (Systest Engineer)

The Challenge Ahead
The EA Digital Platform (EADP) organization drives key technology decisions and investments across EA’s studios and divisions. The team focuses on building cross platform infrastructure and services that keep players connected to EA games anytime and anywhere.
Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate tools that automate processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Create, maintain, and enhance game call pattern simulation code using C++ or Scala to support applications and platform features.
- Perform stress and load testing by designing gameplay driven scenarios and analyzing real game logs to simulate accurate load conditions.
- Configure and manage distributed test environments to run large scale tests and generate system load.
- Execute tests and provide clear analysis and reporting of results.
- Analyze and troubleshoot system or network performance issues related to testing and automation.
- Investigate root causes of problems identified during testing and distinguish between test issues and system component issues.
- Work with team members to track and resolve identified issues.
- Communicate testing status and outcomes to the team.
- Follow EA policies, NDAs, and security standards while reporting issues and managing multiple tasks efficiently.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as C++, Scala, or Python.
- Understanding of cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, or Azure (AWS preferred).
- Familiarity with scalable platform architecture and end to end system design.
- Experience with visualization tools such as Grafana and database technologies like MySQL or Redis.
- Ability to work independently, organize priorities, and contribute to technical innovation and problem solving.
