This position is part of S&P Global’s Transactions division, which publishes data related to Mergers & Acquisitions and Capital Markets. The Transaction Researcher acts as an internal specialist responsible for gathering and maintaining high quality transaction information. The role provides exposure to regional markets and frequent collaboration with global teams.

What You Will Gain

This role provides a strong foundation for understanding the global transaction marketplace. You will develop knowledge of market activity across industries and apply that understanding to research, data validation, and daily analytical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Track and collect transaction related information in the internal database according to S&P Global guidelines.
• Extract and verify relevant data using search tools, press releases, company websites, regulatory filings, and trade documents.
• Contribute ideas for improving data collection methods and enhancing existing products.
• Review feedback on transaction content to correct errors and refine internal processes for improved data accuracy.
• Meet individual and team targets while maintaining strong quality standards.
• Stay updated on industry developments, market trends, and reporting practices.

What We Are Looking For

• MBA or M.Com with a strong academic background.
• Understanding of corporate finance, capital markets, and valuation techniques.
• Familiarity with financial statements and the ability to interpret annual reports.
• Capability to perform efficient online research and thematic analysis.
• Experience with database tools or automation platforms is considered beneficial.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate within a team environment.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts including morning, evening, or night schedules.
