Job Description

This role executes well-defined platform tasks under close supervision, such as basic updates to SDKs or client libraries and simple observability instrumentation. You will follow established middleware patterns and coding standards to fix routine issues and support safe, backward-compatible changes. You will also monitor basic platform metrics and API usage within a limited scope, and contribute to documentation by refining examples and reference snippets.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Software Development

• Implement basic updates to SDKs, client libraries and instrumentation aligned to established platform patterns.
• Triage routine platform issues using playbooks and safeguard backward compatibility on simple changes.
• Contribute small documentation improvements (samples, config snippets) for platform adoption.

Software Development, Coding, Design, Testing and Optimization

• Implement simple software solutions under supervision.
• Learn to adhere to all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Assist with creating and reviewing code for new software features and enhancements following design specifications, and help develop documents that clarify software design and code.
• Debug and troubleshoot to identify and fix simple software issues, and develop fixes for identified issues.
• Assist with software testing (e.g., functional testing) and quality assurance processes.
• Carry out or follow software error logging, monitoring and observability for effective debugging, following detailed instructions.
• Support performance profiling and optimization of code within a defined scope.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic issues related to application programming interface (API) functionality and integration.
• Assist with implementing API versioning, lifecycle and interoperability strategies.

Issue and Defect Collaboration, Software Products Support

• Communicate with your team to understand customer issues and align solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and support to customers on reported issues, under direct supervision.
• Learn to identify customer interests and suggest product enhancements based on feedback.
• Help the team ensure customer satisfaction through timely resolution of issues and effective communication.
• Build basic knowledge of customer issue and defect handling and training processes.
• Work with experienced colleagues to investigate and troubleshoot product maintenance issues and agree short- and long-term solutions with customers.

Practices and Standards Compliance, Security and Compliance

• Follow detailed guidance from your team on development practices and coding standards.
• Receive instruction to ensure code quality and adherence to broad acceptance criteria during development.
• Learn industry best practices and how to apply them to software development processes.
• Acquire knowledge of secure coding practices to prevent security vulnerabilities.

Development Operations, System Maintenance

• Support basic periodic maintenance and testing for systems that require upgrading or patching (e.g., for critical vulnerabilities).
• Build knowledge for driving improvements, automation, testing and debugging to keep services and products available, healthy, supported and reliable.

Core Responsibilities

• Complete assigned tasks and monitor timelines to finish work in line with project requirements, under supervision. Follow direction to prioritize work and adjust to shifts in resources or timelines.
• Collaborate with team members to understand expectations and contribute to shared objectives, and build a basic understanding of business, stakeholder and customer needs with guidance.
• Follow standard procedures to identify and escalate issues to senior team members, and collect and review basic data to troubleshoot common errors.
• Build knowledge and learn new skills and tools aligned with industry trends and best practices as directed. Apply feedback and take part in training to improve skills.
• Begin identifying ways to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of processes, protocols and workflows with guidance.
