Job Summary

This is an FSO Engineer Band 2 role focused on onsite end-user and infrastructure support for client sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide onsite support for endpoint devices such as desktops, laptops and docking stations, along with their system software.
• Carry out approved Install, Move, Add, Change and Delete (IMACD) services and break-fix repairs for Windows and Mac hardware.
• Support users onsite for incidents and service requests that the Helpdesk cannot resolve.
• Deploy, manage and refresh in-scope hardware as agreed with the client, at dedicated sites only (fewer than 10 devices per month per site).
• Help client end-users start the Autopilot process for desktop imaging of new and leaver laptops.
• Coordinate with the client's hardware asset management team and follow agreed processes to stay compliant.
• Handle fixed telephony, softphones, conferencing and meeting room equipment (basic configuration), monitors and peripherals, and iOS mobiles including MDM profile configuration based on client SOPs.
• Provide printer hands and eyes support, including toner replacement and checking physical and network cabling.
• Perform hands and eyes support for servers and network devices, such as physical ON/OFF checks, cabling checks from port to device, and vendor or OEM coordination and escorting to server or data rooms at dedicated sites.

Hands and eyes support means taking part in support of non-end-user devices such as network, storage and servers under the guidance of the customer or a third-party vendor, using technology to deliver that support.

Other Requirements

The posting also includes a related AV Support Engineer role based at client sites in London and the South-East. It calls for AV device configuration and installation (Poly, Crestron, AMX, Cisco, Yealink, Logitech, Microsoft Teams), routine testing and diagnosis of projectors, microphones, speakers and displays, client-facing communication, and 3+ years of AV support experience in a corporate setting. Microsoft Teams and O365 experience is required, and CCNA Video or CCNA Routing and Switching, along with vendor certifications such as Poly, Crestron (CTS), AMX, Cisco or Microsoft, are desirable.
