EXL Hiring Analyst (Kochi) | Accounts Receivable Deduction Role

Job Description

EXL is looking for a detail-oriented, analytical professional to join its Accounts Receivable team as a Deduction Analyst. You will research, validate and resolve customer deductions by reviewing supporting documents, analyzing deduction trends and transaction data, and checking claims against customer agreements and company policies.

You will create credit memos for valid deductions, process chargebacks for invalid claims, work with Customer Service and other cross-functional teams to resolve disputes, and use customer portals to get documentation and manage claims. The role also includes preparing reports and account insights that support collections and improve cash flow.

The ideal candidate has strong Excel and analytical skills, a problem-solving mindset, and experience in Accounts Receivable, Cash Application, Deduction Management or related Order-to-Cash processes.

Key Responsibilities

The Deduction Analyst investigates and resolves customer deductions by gathering and reviewing supporting documentation, analyzing deduction data, and validating claims against customer agreements and company policies. The role includes processing credit memos for approved deductions, starting chargebacks for invalid claims, and coordinating with Customer Service and cross-functional teams to get required information.

You will manage disputes through customer portals, ensure timely resolution of open items, and prepare account-level reports and insights to support collections, dispute management and overall cash flow performance.
