Job Description

This apprenticeship role is part of the Valuation Risk function in Mumbai. The position focuses on appraisal and valuation services, along with analyzing products and parameters using different metrics to ensure positions are accurately marked to market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform Independent Price Verification and reserve calculations for products including FX, Bonds, Loans, Swaps, Securitized Products, and Derivatives such as Forwards, Options, and CDS.
  • Prepare reports and analyze pricing variance drivers.
  • Conduct due diligence on market data reliability using sources such as Bloomberg, Markit-Totem, brokers, and other independent providers.
  • Maintain controls around completeness, accuracy, and adherence to operating procedures.
  • Coordinate with regional Valuation Teams, desks, and stakeholders regarding IPV and reserving outcomes.
  • Support ad-hoc projects and investigation requests from stakeholders.

Skills and Experience

  • Graduate or postgraduate degree in a numerate discipline such as Mathematics or Statistics. CA or MBA qualifications are an added advantage.
  • Understanding of financial markets and financial products.
  • Experience working with large datasets and software packages such as MS Excel, MS Access, VBA, and SQL.
  • Knowledge of Python or VBA coding is beneficial.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and international environment while handling multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work across different shifts.
