About the Role

Khatabook is seeking a highly motivated and innovative Data Science Intern to join our dynamic team. You will work on challenging machine learning, deep learning, and image processing problems, applying large language models (LLMs) to real-world financial challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end data science solutions addressing complex business problems in lending, insurance, investments, and payments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and business to identify opportunities for data-driven impact.
• Explore and implement state-of-the-art techniques in machine learning, deep learning, NLP, and Generative AI.
• Drive experimentation and rapid prototyping to validate hypotheses and scale successful models to production.

Required Qualifications

• Currently in the 4th year of Bachelor's or 2nd year of Master's in Engineering or equivalent.
• Some experience in Data Science/Machine Learning.
• Strong knowledge in image processing within the AI domain.
• Ability to identify complex patterns in data, generate insights, perform root cause analysis, and automate processes via dashboards.
• Proficiency in Python programming and experience in building data pipelines using Python and Airflow.
• Strong skills in pandas, scikit-learn, SQL, and familiarity with TensorFlow/PyTorch.
• Bonus: Experience with deep learning, DevOps/MLOps, Docker, and production deployments.
