The KYC Operations Analyst 1 is an entry-level role supporting Anti-Money Laundering (AML) monitoring, governance, oversight and regulatory reporting, working with the Compliance and Control team. The role helps develop and manage an internal KYC (Know Your Client) program at Citi.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Relationship Management and Compliance teams to prepare, develop, perform due diligence on and approve electronic KYC records and supporting appendices
- Create and maintain KYC records using information from internal and external sources such as firm websites and regulatory websites
- Work with Relationship Management and Compliance teams to update system information from KYC initiation to approval, and report workflow progress to the supervisor
- Validate information in KYC records and Customer Identification Program (CIP) documents for completeness and accuracy
- Make sure KYC records meet local regulatory requirements and Global Business Support Unit (BSU) Standards
- Maintain the BSU tool
- Assess risk when making business decisions, considering the firm's reputation and protecting Citigroup, its clients and assets by complying with laws, rules, regulations and Policy, using sound ethical judgment, and escalating and reporting control issues transparently
- Use independent judgment to manage day-to-day responsibilities, assess complex situations, resolve issues and decide on courses of action, owning decisions and outcomes within your area
- Support the business area by making sure administrative processes are applied consistently and outputs meet expected standards, responding to changing operational needs to keep work continuous, high quality and on time
- Apply domain expertise and analytical skills to deliver outputs that meet established standards, evaluate business requirements, and recommend practical solutions, applying structured thinking and professional judgment in light of the wider business context
Qualifications:
- Previous relevant experience preferred
