Citi Hiring KYC Operations Analyst 1 (Mumbai) | Freshers Eligible

Role Overview

The KYC Operations Analyst 1 is an entry-level position supporting Anti-Money Laundering (AML) monitoring, governance, oversight and regulatory reporting, working with the Compliance and Control team. The role helps develop and manage a dedicated internal KYC (Know Your Client) program at Citi.

Responsibilities

• Work with Relationship Management and Compliance teams to prepare, develop, perform due diligence on and get approval for electronic KYC records and supporting appendices
• Create and maintain KYC records using information from internal and external sources, such as the firm website and regulatory websites
• Update system information with Relationship Management and Compliance teams from initiation to approval of KYC records, and report workflow progress to your supervisor
• Validate information in KYC records and Customer Identification Program (CIP) documents for completeness and accuracy
• Make sure KYC records meet local regulatory requirements and Global Business Support Unit (BSU) Standards
• Maintain the BSU tool
• Assess risk when making business decisions, protecting the firm's reputation and Citigroup, its clients and assets, by complying with laws, rules, regulations and Policy, using sound ethical judgment, and escalating and reporting control issues transparently
• Apply independent judgment to day-to-day responsibilities, assessing complex situations, resolving issues and deciding on appropriate actions, and take responsibility for decisions and outcomes in your area
• Ensure administrative processes in the business area are applied consistently and outputs meet expected standards, responding to operational needs to keep work continuous, high quality and on time
• Apply domain expertise and analytical skills to deliver outputs that meet established standards, evaluate business requirements and recommend practical solutions, and use structured thinking when standard methods need refinement

Qualifications

• Previous relevant experience preferred

Education

• Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
