The team builds and maintains the overall risk management framework and ensures legal and regulatory compliance. It works closely with business units across the enterprise to deliver maximum value to shareholders and customers.

The Risk Reporting CoE sets the Company-wide framework for how risk data is aggregated and how risk reports are produced, so the Board, senior management and regulators receive timely, accurate, complete, consistent and relevant reporting on material risks, concentrations and emerging risks. It sets risk reporting standards across the enterprise and works with the Enterprise Data Office, Business Unit Data Offices, GRC Product and Capabilities, and Risk Report Owners to deliver Tier 1 Risk Reports on the Risk Reporting Platform. The team modernizes how risk data is aggregated, analyzed and reported, including maintaining a central risk report inventory, driving automation and controls to reduce manual processes, strengthening data sourcing and lineage, and running periodic platform assessments.

The role is central to setting up a risk data aggregation and reporting framework that delivers trusted, decision-ready data for Tier 1 risk reporting and enterprise risk decisions. It combines risk reporting governance with hands-on data discovery, data requirements development, standardization and validation, working with business, risk, analytics and technology teams to turn complex reporting needs into well-governed data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the establishment of policies, standards and processes for risk data aggregation and reporting suited to the size, complexity and risk profile of the bank.
  • Drive and monitor Risk Reporting Policy adherence, and support procedures and required training for Risk Reporting.
  • Facilitate the development of risk reporting business requirements with report owners and stakeholders.
  • Support the operation of centralized consumption layer controls and help oversee decentralized controls.
  • Support the design and implementation of data and technology infrastructure that meets reporting needs and captures material, concentrated and emerging risks.
  • Support a standardized, periodic (at least annual) assessment framework to evaluate risk reporting systems, tools and processes as data sources and regulatory expectations change.
  • Support the production of Risk Appetite and BU Risk Appetite Reports shared with the Board and senior management committees.

Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of experience in risk management, analytics or a related discipline from a Tier 1 college.
  • Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science or Economics).
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, with the ability to apply quantitative methods and business skills to generate insights and results.
  • Familiarity with BCBS 239 and OCC Heightened Standards. Strong analytical skills, including the ability to turn complex information into clear conclusions for colleagues, business partners and senior leaders.
  • Ability to work independently and across a matrix organization with business partners, functional owners, capabilities, technology teams and external vendors.
  • Rigorous, analytical approach to problem-solving, decision-making and prioritization, with collaboration across teams and geographies.
  • Proactive in identifying issues, escalating key findings and recommending solutions to correct issues or mitigate risks.
