The Technical Information Solutions (TIS) team within the Product Support & Logistics Division (PSLD) creates and delivers technical parts and service information through SIS and SIS2GO. This information is essential for the repair and service of Caterpillar products, and more than 300,000 dealer and customer users rely on it to identify and order Cat parts.

Job Summary

Within TIS, the Parts Information Graphic Specialist creates and maintains technical parts information for Caterpillar products.

Job Responsibilities

• Create and revise technical parts information graphics to support new product introduction, continuous process improvement and revision timelines.
• Make sure all parts information graphics are accurate and take part in process improvement efforts.
• Validate prints so that information elements are documented according to Caterpillar standards.
• Confirm that each relevant part has clear, descriptive graphics associated with it.

Required Skills

• Technical Excellence: Demonstrated knowledge of Caterpillar product structure, engineering databases (Teamcenter, HVC), parts information databases (Windchill authoring system) and graphic creation tools (Creo, Canvas).
• Effective Communication: Gives helpful, behavior-focused feedback, accepts feedback without defensiveness, independently delivers oral presentations and written reports, and leads meetings and teams effectively.
• Collaboration & Engagement: Builds and maintains healthy working relationships with peers and other stakeholders.
