Role Overview

This role helps design, define, develop and test robotics software. You will work with senior engineers to make sure the needs of internal and external clients are met.

Responsibilities

• Collect and research data on customer experience with robotic platforms, and prepare reports for management.
• Document architecture specifications, software design descriptions, verification plans, test cases, operating procedures and safety procedures.
• Use suitable tools to debug, test and maintain software and hardware systems of robotic tools, and support verification and validation.
• Take part in designing and developing application software and algorithms for robotic platforms.

A degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science or Materials Science curriculum is required.

• Problem solving, including identifying problems, weighing risks and benefits of alternatives, and using diagnostic tools.
• Software development life cycle, including new product development and new releases.
• Software product testing, including functional, volume, load and performance testing.
• Application development tools and toolkits for strategic development platforms.
• Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts and methodologies.
• Programming in at least one language, including writing, debugging and maintaining source code.
• Technical troubleshooting of hardware, software and application problems.

This position requires working onsite five days a week. Relocation is available for this position.
