Job Summary
The MDR Designer contributes to software solutions by analyzing user needs and system specifications in depth. The role makes sure designs meet regulatory standards and address stakeholder requirements, supporting overall project success.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze user needs and system specifications against MDR standards to ensure compliance and design effectiveness.
- Develop detailed design specifications and documentation covering system components and user interfaces, aligned with regulatory requirements such as 510(k) and ISO 13485.
- Create prototypes that show software functionality, gather feedback from users and stakeholders, and iterate designs to improve usability.
- Work with cross-functional teams, including developers and quality assurance, to build cohesive, user-friendly interfaces that meet project objectives.
Skill Requirements
- Basic understanding of Medical Device Reporting (MDR) and related regulations.
- Familiarity with design specification tools and methodologies.
- Fundamental knowledge of user interface design principles and best practices.
- Basic skills in prototyping tools and techniques for gathering feedback.
Other Requirements
Optional but valuable certifications include Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or relevant design-related certifications.
