Purpose of the role
Provide operational support to Wholesale Lending through daily processing, reviews, reporting, trading activities, and issue resolution.
Accountabilities
- Assist with Wholesale Lending operations including processing, reporting, trade activities, and resolving issues using technical lending knowledge.
- Monitor lending operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with teams across the bank to align and integrate Wholesale Lending processes.
- Identify opportunities to enhance processes and recommend improvements.
- Develop and implement procedures and controls that reduce risk and maintain operational efficiency.
- Create reports and presentations on Wholesale Lending performance and share insights with senior stakeholders.
- Track industry trends and developments to incorporate best practices in Wholesale Lending services.
- Take part in projects and initiatives aimed at improving operational effectiveness.

In this role, you will conduct due diligence, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and support both clients and the organisation through careful operational oversight.
The analyst manages critical and time sensitive tasks such as building new lending deals and handling amendments to existing facilities. This requires close coordination with teams including Originations, Credit, Sanctions, and Legal to meet client financing requirements while protecting the bank’s interests.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of mid to large corporate lending cases, overseeing activities from submission through drawdown and reconciliation while meeting service level agreements.
- Provide technical guidance to colleagues and stakeholders on lending transactions, quality assurance, and issue resolution.
- Drive process improvements and address discrepancies to ensure timely and accurate client fund payments.
- Serve as a subject matter contact for process or procedural queries within EMEA teams and maintain documentation for audit readiness.
- Communicate complex or sensitive matters clearly to internal stakeholders.
Desirable Skillsets
- Experience in investment banking lending operations and interaction with senior stakeholders.
- Ability to review and interpret legally binding credit agreements.
- Capability to manage urgent requests and escalations from relationship directors and senior managers.
- Familiarity with loan booking platforms such as ACBS and Loan IQ.
