
Alcon is looking for motivated Apprentice Engineers to join the Lifecycle Management (LCM) team through a 24-month apprenticeship program.
This position is designed for recent graduates in Computer Science, Information Science, or related fields who want practical exposure to software development, medical device lifecycle management, testing, and platform sustainment activities.
The apprentice will collaborate with experienced engineers and gain hands-on experience across the lifecycle of regulated medical devices, including software maintenance, platform upgrades, operating system patching, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
During the apprenticeship program, candidates will gain exposure to the medical device software development lifecycle (SDLC), lifecycle management and sustainment engineering activities, operating system patching and validation processes, and defect management workflows.
The role also provides insight into emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence applications within engineering workflows.
