Apprenticeship in Physical Design & Integration (PDI)
Airbus India has opened an apprenticeship opportunity in the Physical Design and Integration (PDI) department in Bangalore. The team handles system installation and cabin design activities across aircraft programs. This program is designed to help graduates gain practical exposure within an international aerospace organization focused on digital innovation and research.
The apprenticeship is planned as a 12‑month program expected to begin around July 2026, with some flexibility in the start date. Participants will work alongside experienced teams and receive mentorship to help define professional goals and strengthen technical capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support system installation work packages related to cabin design, mechanical systems, and electrical systems.
- Assist in coordinating activities across different work packages and provide support to group leaders when required.
- Collaborate with teams across Airframe, Systems, and Cabin domains including Industrialization, Standardization, Research, and Environment Integration.
Learning and Development Areas
- Mechanical System Installation (MSI)
- Electrical System Installation (ESI)
- Cabin design and DMU integration
- Configuration management practices
- Architecture studies and automation exposure
This role provides hands‑on exposure to aircraft system integration processes, cross‑functional collaboration, and engineering workflows used within Airbus programs.
