Overview
About the Role
The Internal Flow and Data Analytics team under the Structures department delivers solutions through competencies in thermal, aerodynamics, and internal flow analysis. You will act as a Fluid or Hydromechanical Engineer for aero-thermal perimeters, performing numerical simulations in both 1D and 3D to ensure the certification and performance of aircraft systems.
You will provide aero-thermal results to support aircraft certification and handle the modeling of thermal management systems, heat dissipation, and associated methods and tools.
Responsibilities
- Support all aero-thermal engineering activities and numerical simulations.
- Perform 1D analysis and computational fluid dynamics to solve heat transfer and fluid flow problems.
- Model thermal management systems of various aircraft to build Amesim models.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure deliverables meet requirements for aircraft certification.
- Learn new tools and processes to successfully execute project deliveries.
Technical Skills
- Strong experience in thermal simulation and understanding of aero-thermal environments.
- Proficiency in thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, aerodynamics, and cooling systems.
- Knowledge of numerical modeling, 1D analysis using Amesim, and CFD methods using Star-CCM+ and FLUENT.
- Familiarity with Python, Java, and system design processes.
