About the Division
The Trucks Technology & Industrial Division focuses on building efficient and sustainable transport solutions. Teams work closely with customers and operate with speed and autonomy to deliver technologies that meet real industry needs.
Engineers collaborate across disciplines to design, build, and deliver advanced products. The division encourages curiosity, collaboration, and technical expertise to transform ideas into practical solutions for customers.
Graduate Apprentice Program
Volvo Group invites fresh engineering graduates to join under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS). Selected candidates will contribute to Driving Simulator Development programs that support vehicle development, human–machine interaction research, and driver behavior studies.
The role provides exposure to advanced simulation environments and digital engineering practices while working alongside experienced simulation and vehicle engineering teams.
Key Skills and Knowledge Areas
- Programming and Tools: Python, R, SQL, Jupyter Notebook, GitHub
- Machine Learning and AI: NLP, LLMs such as ChatGPT and Hugging Face models, prompt engineering, feature engineering
- Data Science Techniques: Statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, time-series analysis
- Data Analysis and Visualization: Power BI, Tableau, advanced Excel, data wrangling, ETL pipelines
- Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure
- Collaboration Tools: Jira, Confluence
- Domain Exposure: Finance data, supply chain data, compliance datasets
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Capability to learn complex systems involving both hardware and software
- Effective communication for technical discussions and documentation
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional simulation, software, and vehicle engineering teams
- Interest in simulation environments, virtual systems, and automotive technologies
