About the Program
As part of Volvo Group’s initiative to develop young engineering talent, graduates can join through the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS). The program provides practical industry exposure and the chance to work alongside experienced engineers on real projects.
Key Skills and Knowledge Areas
- Strong understanding of mechanical or automobile engineering fundamentals
- Familiarity with CAD tools such as Creo, SolidWorks, or CATIA is an advantage
- Working knowledge of MS Office tools including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Exposure to Power BI or data science concepts is beneficial
- Analytical thinking and structured problem solving
- Ability to collaborate effectively within engineering teams
Roles and Responsibilities
- Support design and development activities within the assigned engineering team
- Assist in creating and updating CAD models, drawings, and engineering documentation
- Work with cross functional teams on product and process improvement initiatives
- Learn and follow Volvo engineering standards and internal procedures
- Participate in technical reviews, data analysis tasks, and report preparation
- Assist ongoing engineering and manufacturing activities as part of the training process
Program Duration
The duration of the apprenticeship follows the guidelines defined under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS).
