About the Role
Microsoft is offering a Technology Consulting Apprenticeship in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. This fully on-site internship is designed for candidates graduating in 2026 who have no active academic backlogs and have not held full-time employment prior to the apprenticeship. Applicants who have completed a previous apprenticeship must observe a mandatory gap of 365 days before starting a new one.
Role Overview
As a Technology Consultant Apprentice, you will work on designing and implementing data management solutions based on business and analytical requirements. You will integrate, govern, transform, and store data across distributed Azure cloud services, databases, and other storage systems. The role involves leveraging tools such as Azure Purview for data governance, Azure Fabric for unified analytics, and Power BI for business intelligence to deliver actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement data governance frameworks using Azure Purview to ensure data consistency, compliance, and security.
- Integrate data from multiple sources and formats (JSON, CSV, XML) for analytics purposes.
- Design and maintain data models, schemas, and metadata for effective data organization.
- Optimize data workflows for reporting, implementing caching, indexing, and partitioning strategies.
- Develop interactive dashboards in Power BI, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and present insights using visual storytelling.
- Monitor and maintain data assets, pipelines, and storage systems for accuracy and availability.
- Write, debug, and optimize SQL queries for analytics and reporting tasks.
Qualifications
Required:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Business, or related field.
- Understanding of data management principles including governance, integration, and security.
- Basic knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Preferred:
- Experience with Azure Purview, Power BI, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data modeling concepts (star schema, snowflake schema).
- Knowledge of role-based access controls (RBAC) and metadata management.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
