About the Role
The EDO Sustainable1 Data Operations team at S&P Global is an international, project-driven group focused on sustainability data management. The team manages one of the most comprehensive datasets on corporate sustainability, supporting investors, companies, and stakeholders with detailed ESG insights. Working in a collaborative and agile environment, the team contributes to the development of sustainability indices and benchmarking methodologies used by global clients.
The Impact
As part of S&P Global’s ESG team, you will help develop and maintain accurate, complete, and timely datasets that support internal and external business needs. The role involves researching and validating sustainability information from multiple public and internal sources. These include government and regulatory publications, stock exchange disclosures, CSR reports, industry journals, analyst reports, and internal research tools.
Role and Responsibilities
- Support the Environmental Data team by delivering and maintaining accurate, complete, and timely datasets.
- Work with team members and management on initiatives related to Trucost and ESG data operations.
- Collect, standardize, and validate information on business relations, competitors, products, and services using companies’ public reports.
- Meet defined individual and team targets while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Operate within established processes and supervision to ensure accuracy and performance.
- Stay updated on content sets and develop industry knowledge related to reporting standards and trends.
- Suggest improvements for data collection methods and process enhancements.
- Troubleshoot issues and provide operational support to the team.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration or Environmental Science.
- Willingness to work rotational shifts, including night shifts.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and interpretive capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a team environment and work within flexible schedules to meet deadlines.
- Good written and verbal communication skills along with solid computer proficiency.
- Experience with research and internet-based information gathering.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Advanced Excel, Power BI, SQL, and database management.
- Ability to manage priorities and deliver results within tight timelines.
- Strong attention to detail and interest in research.
- Ability to interact professionally with different stakeholders and handle issues effectively.
- Interest in sustainability research and ESG-related data analysis.
