About the Role
The Reference Data team supports S&P Global databases by maintaining and delivering entity-level data for multiple products. The team manages research-oriented data collection for profile information, entity and security level symbol linking, people data, and corporate structures.
Reference Data integrates and maintains cross-reference identifiers such as CUSIP and ISIN at both entity and security levels. The team supports more than 70 million securities and 100 million entities while enabling standardized integration of third-party data with S&P Global datasets and products.
The Impact
- Collect, analyze, and ingest data from multiple vendors within defined SLAs while maintaining high quality standards.
- Ensure data workflows support downstream collection processes and client-facing information accurately.
- Support products such as GICRS and BECRS that are delivered through XpressFeed and depend on accurate cross-referencing.

Responsibilities
- Manage ingestion and maintenance of third-party feeds into databases while ensuring accurate information flow.
- Achieve individual and team targets with a focus on quality and operational excellence.
- Understand workflows, datasets, and internal work tools.
- Track KPIs, SLAs, and operational metrics.
- Communicate updates, challenges, and progress with stakeholders.
- Support knowledge sharing, documentation, quality control initiatives, and process reviews.
- Contribute to process improvement and automation projects.
Basic Qualifications
- Graduate or Post Graduate degree with Finance as a major.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
- Basic understanding of SQL.
- Ability to work in rotational and night shifts with flexible hours.
- Awareness of S&P Global platforms such as Capital IQ Pro, Capital IQ, XpressFeed, and Excel Plug Ins is beneficial for internal employees.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Experience creating and executing SQL queries.
