As a Payroll Intern, you will learn payroll activities step by step while supporting the Payroll team with assigned payroll tasks. The role includes employee support such as answering emails, filing, collecting data, payroll validation and forms collection, and helping keep payroll records accurate.

Key Learnings

• Learn payroll activities from the basics through to statutory compliance.
• Support payroll activities for North America (US and Canada).

Key Responsibilities

• Data collection and verification: Collect new hire data, required payroll forms and other relevant information. Verify that new hire forms and payroll-related data are complete and correct, and validate offer letters.
• Payroll processing support: Help with payroll tasks as directed by the Payroll Specialist and Payroll Manager, including basic validation of payroll-related activities.
• Record keeping and audit: Retrieve and manage payroll information as needed, keep payroll records accurate and up to date in line with audit requirements, help the team compile audit requests, and support year-end activities.
• Other duties: Assist with payroll inquiries from employees, prepare payroll reports and statements, support other administrative tasks, support country-specific statutory compliance, support the GL team on payroll reconciliations and fluxes, and help the Payroll team with new projects that improve team processes.
