Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced QA Engineer (Manual Testing) to join our Technology, Digital, and Data division in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual testing for web and mobile applications, with proven ability to ensure product quality through meticulous testing processes.
Core Skills
- Proficiency in functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
- Ability to design and execute detailed test cases.
- Experience in creating and managing test data, including edge and negative cases.
- Hands-on knowledge of Azure Test Plans, JIRA, Zephyr, or similar tools.
- Capability to define, track, and report QA metrics such as defect density and test coverage.
- Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis and defect resolution.
- Collaboration experience with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams.
- Familiarity with eCommerce platforms, payment gateways, and customer journey testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans.
- Execute test cases, optimize coverage, and manage test environments.
- Monitor and report QA metrics to stakeholders.
- Log, track, and validate defects, ensuring timely fixes.
- Participate in scrum ceremonies and provide QA sign-offs.
- Identify areas for automation and collaborate with automation engineers.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality releases in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should have relevant experience in QA and manual testing, especially in eCommerce environments.
