Software Engineer
Caterpillar is looking for a Software Engineer to support agile software development activities, including implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and application support.
Responsibilities
- Design, modify, develop, write, and implement software applications for target systems using agile methodologies.
- Gather client requirements and resolve workflow issues through automation and optimization.
- Write source code for new applications and improve code samples for existing systems.
- Use automated testing tools for software testing and maintenance activities.
Key Skills and Knowledge
- Understanding of software development tools, activities, and methodologies.
- Knowledge of software development life cycle processes and structured delivery methods.
- Experience with software integration processes, interfaces, and data exchange techniques.
- Basic understanding of software product design and architecture concepts.
- Ability to participate in technical acceptance testing, bug tracking, and deployment support.
- Knowledge of software product testing practices including functional, load, and performance testing.
- Ability to analyze situations, organize data, and support decision-making processes.
- Experience creating reports, presentations, and technical documentation as part of project work.
