Role Overview
The Design Methodologies and Tools Engineer / Architect works on the development and application of Computer Aided Design (CAD) software engineering methods, theories, and research techniques to address complex technical challenges. The role focuses on evaluating system architecture and hardware limitations while contributing to the design and development of CAD software solutions.
The engineer plans and supports technical projects related to CAD software development. Responsibilities include defining new approaches, selecting suitable implementation strategies, and establishing engineering design specifications and parameters.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance CAD software engineering applications used in design methodologies.
- Assess architecture and hardware constraints while planning and executing technical development tasks.
- Create routines and utility programs that support engineering workflows and design automation.
- Prepare technical design specifications, analyses, and recommendations for internal review and approval.
- Support project execution by identifying necessary materials, equipment, and resources.
- Evaluate vendor capabilities to determine whether they can supply required products or services.
